Prostate exercises are an important part of your natural prostate health. First, start with your inputs -- your food -- to get on the road to prostate health. Stop the bad inputs! Second, take a good look at your lifestyle choices and how it might be contributing to your prostate problems. Then start doing the things that your prostate loves: prostate massage and prostate exercise. Yes, even your prostate loves exercise!
The reason why is that it strengthens your prostate and help cleanse it of all the toxins that are stored in it. Just like other parts of your body, exercise increases blood flow through it, so that means a greater elimination of toxins as the blood moves them onward and outward. Learn more about how the prostate filters toxins to protect the sperm on my page about the 10 amazing functions of the prostate gland.
Not only does the prostate help protect sperm to keep the sperm quality high and enhance the chance of impregnation, the prostate also secretes fluids that become part of the seminal ejaculate. It's a gland and a muscle that pumps fluid out for our pleasure, so exercising the prostate make good sense.
An added bonus of the exercises is that they help you control ejaculation and the duration and strength of your erections. You can do them anywhere, any time and no one will even know! Nice bonuses!
To do the exercises, you engage your pubococcygeus or PC muscle. My what?!
The PC muscle stretches from the pubic bone to the tailbone, supporting the inner organs of the pelvic area and the function of the sphincter muscles (anal and bladder sphincters). The PC muscle is your "stop pee" and "stop poo" muscle. It's what you clench to achieve those results. Try it right now. Focus mostly on the one around the anus first and notice how the whole muscle starts to engage right to the front. You may notice some engagement in the lower abdominals, too.
Kegel exercises or pelvic floor exercises are the name used for both men and women to strengthen the PC muscle. In men, kegel exercises also help to squeeze the prostate gland allowing more blood to flow through it, helping to cleanse it.
That’s why kegel for are recommended for men's health -- treating prostate conditions like enlargement from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostatitis, or prostate inflammation. Prostate exercise can also be used for treating urinary incontinence because these kegel exercises strengthen the bladder sphincter.
For women who might be reading this, kegel exercises will strengthen your pelvic muscles and organs. As a result it will heighten your sensations during sex. Within two weeks you will be able to squeeze tight your vagina muscles. You can imagine the pleasurable benefits of this skill for you and your partner!
So, now you can tighten all the muscles around the scrotum and anus. You automatically engage your prostate when you do this, and you are on your way.
You can now do prostate exercise several times a day anywhere: while sitting, driving, walking, talking, or now while you are reading this website! Squeeze, hold, release. That’s it! It's the world’s easiest exercise and perhaps also the most beneficial!
To get the most benefit from it, you need to do sets. You can vary:
Remember to do your exercises every day. They are especially easy to do while you are waiting at traffic lights or watching TV. Put those down times to good use and your prostate will love you!
