Correlation PSA increase to Benign vs Malignant size increase

An urologist just advised me the following.....

BPH increase should be 'proportional' to increase in PSA values.

However, high PSA values unaccompanied by similar prostate size increase indicates malignant, possibly 'high risk cancer',

True or False?

Ron here...

Time for another urologist as this is nonsense.

Ask him for the studies that show this!

Many things can cause an increase in PSA from meds for a cold, to exercise, to diet, to sexual activity, to fungus, pathogens and viruses in the prostate.

If you have consistent high PSA then the question is what should you do or don't do.

A biopsy is the worst choice, and I would never do it as it can spread whatever is going on. It is a very invasive test, and even if they find cancer there are no benefits to life expectancy as most men will do from other causes than their prostate cancer.

Ask your urologist to take a prostate fluid sample and exam it instead for pathogens, viruses and fungus.

That is what the 3D Clinic does. Then you have real info about what is going on.
