From the moment I clicked on this page, started finding what would describe as my symptoms, problems. I had to go to an emergency room for not being able to go, a long time ago. 20 years to be exact, and have not had any problems until the end of this last year (2014). Out of the blue it was so hard to go I would be on the toilet, bent over, locking my arms behind my knees to put enough pressure to start. After starting it would be okay. I have seen a urologists. He prescribed me flowmax, 0.4mg, once a day at supper. It seemed to help but there were a few times in the first month it reverted to straining again. Now, it is like I never had medication to help. I read about anti-histamines, my fiancée will give me Benadryl capsules anytime I have sinus problems. Never realized that food, over the counter medicines and such could be doing this to me. I found this site searching for how to get catheters. I do not want to be "stuck" somewhere without being able to help myself. I will be purchasing your book as well. For a beginner in being hit with this, could you please give me some tips as to what I can do? Where to purchase, and what kind, catheters? Thank you in advance, for this site and everything.
